| Weldability: FEP has a lower melting point than PTFE (approx. 260-280°C), making it easy to heat-seal, hot-air weld, or ultrasonically weld. This allows FEP Tubular Film to be fabricated into custom shapes such as sleeves, liners, and storage bags - for example, welded gas bags used for temporary storage of ozone and other reactive gases - without the need for adhesives, preserving chemical resistance and performance at the seams. |
| Note: Flat FEP Film is typically used for flat lining/wrapping applications (e.g., inside motor housings or flat lining on rollers), while FEP Tubular Film is used when the material needs to shrink-fit around a cylindrical roller or shaft - a very common requirement for printing machine rollers. |
